Horst Schirmeier 9a81ab4222 Database: more flexible get_variants()

This change moves prune-trace's --variants-exclude / --benchmarks-exclude
capabilities to Database::get_variants() to make it available to all users.

This is an import of the old danceos svn repository.  The Fail* development
started with rev 187, but this git import only contains revisions 956 and newer
due to directory structure changes.

Imported from external gitsvn checkout.
